Inspired by Sergei Diaghilev, founder of the Ballets Russes, Diaghilev is a reminiscing tale of someone who drenched the curtains in his bedroom and theatres with Guerlain's Mitsouko and his uncompromising artistic vision. It has a wonderful fizzy citrusy opening evolving into an extremely refined floral middle phase to then turn into a fresh and rich mossy vetiver dry down. Insanely rich, opulent and an ode to the well-bred, distant past, Diaghilev stands tall on the three pillars of the chypre - oak moss, bergamot, and labdanum resin, above all other chypres.
